HGF has a long history within rubber producing and manufacturing. Back in the days, industries were inspired by the endless possibilities of modern machinery and new rubber recipe discoveries.
After we had started first trials of recycling rubber in the early 80th the possibilities and interest on customer side stood limited. However, the tendencies change over the years. And as the market evolved, so did we. From being a pure rubber producer, we became a rubber and TPE producer. From working with only new raw material we transit to fully biobased and recycled material.
HGF wants to leave a clean footprint and be an example for all companies going the same way.
We are proud about every item (for ex. Weight discs) we can produce based on recycled rubber.
We are proud about every project where our customers challenges us to use more bioplastics.
But what are Bioplastics exactly? -- Bioplastics are not just one single material. They comprise of a whole family of materials with different properties and applications. According to European Bioplastics, a plastic material is defined as a bioplastic if it is either biobased, biodegradable, or features both properties. Bioplastics are biobased, biodegradable, or both. HGF concentrates on the biobased material and works in cooperation with its raw material supplier on best solutions that bring the following characteristics:
- - Flexibility & tensile properties
- - Soft-touch feel
- - Suitable for injection moulding & extrusion
- - Adhesion to polymers such as PE, PP, ABS, SAN, PET and PLA
- - Fully recyclable
- - Can easily be coloured
- - Amounts of renewable content to over 90% (ASTM D 6866)
- - Hardnesses from 15 Shore A to 55 Shore D
